First Week In Italy

Ciao!! Mia Mamma
 Bergamo is sweet.  Italy is beautiful! My companion is Anziano Roisum, he is from Idaho he's great! He goes home in june he doesn't like talking about it. haha His Italian is so good everybody say's that it's very good, one of the best out of all the Anziani so che forte (that's cool) haha We have been teaching and doing casa. (House to house)
Everything here is built so beautifully. The streets where I live are like stone, all the members houses we've been in is marble floor counter top everything is super nice. The stores are all very expensive here, like yesterday I saw a cool pair of shoes for 130 Euro so it's ridiculous. But in august and january is sale time and my companion got a way nice suit for 30 Euro usually cost 500. It's sweet the food is AMAZING we have pasta everyday. I live with an Italian by the way from Sicily and he is a wonderful cook! Don't send letters I probably won't get them just to let you know and same with packages my address is Via Ghislanzoni, 25 24122 Bergamo Italy. During a lesson yesterday, Yiota, she is greek, she stopped me and told me my Italian was amazing and I spoke better than most Italians so that was a confidence builder haha jk I think she was just being nice! 
Time wise I'm fine its great! We went to Verano, look up pictures on the internet it's gorgeous.  I'll have to take a lot of pictures today and next week upload them or something.
But things are good I don't know how to describe Italy. Oh my first day we went to the Duomo it is INCREDIBLE!!! look up Pic's inside Duomo, wow its just in milan, amazing it's 4 euro to take pictures so maybe one day i'll go get some but wow I can't believe how they were able to build all of this. Milano Centrale is gorgeous. but yeah than we went to a resteraunt got pizza lasagna gelato and it was amazing then  we went to a hotel and crashed. haha love you take care Italian food is amazing. love Anziano Herrin!

He Arrived!

I received a call around 8:30am this morning from an Elder Young letting me know that Taylor has arrived safely. He has been assigned to serve in Bergamo and is already with his new companion and trainer.

He's off to ITALY!

FAMILIES ARE FOREVER!!!!!!

We were able to go and see Taylor off at the airport this morning. What a blessing for our family! It is the only time we will all be together in 4 years, and possibly 5 1/5-6 years. He looked so good! He spoke a little bit of Italian to us, he said he can fumble through the lessons, and that he understands a lot more than he can speak. He really enjoyed the teachers he had in the MTC and the MTC Presidency. He is glad to graduate from there and was so excited to get to Italy.
He said the Mission President in his final address to the missionaries leaving today, asked the Italian missionaries to stand up and told them to have a fun 2 year vacation. There were several missionaries traveling to Italy today, it was fun to see.
Taylor shared his experience with us of seeing President Holland, his grand daughter was in his MTC district and is traveling with them today, he said he shook all of their hands, but when he got to Taylor he shook his hand and looked at him and then pulled him in for a hug. He said only him and his grand daughter received hugs that day. :) He said his address to them was very powerful and that his mannerisms reminded him of Pa.
He pulled his dad aside for a minute and shared his latest favorite scripture D&C 6:13-15 and told him that for the past year he has been praying and asking for guidance in his life and that he feels like it has all led him " to today." He said he knows he is right where he needs to be at this time.

Ciao!! Mia Mamma:) My week has been great! I can not wait to leave haha But were traveling with my district now so IDK there is 9 of us including me so yeah whatever! The mission president talked to us because we'll be able to access internet and E-mail friends now so that's way exciting be able to e-mail everyone  and its whenever you have free time. Well Nothing much left to say I will be on a plane to Italy in 5 Days!! Ciao Famiglia!! Anziano Herrin
